About Me

Tia is a Chicago based dancer, actor, singer, and choreographer. She want to tell stories that ask questions like, what would someone do to survive, how war/fighting can impact a larger community, what was it like for a person in a particular time period, or why we need to hold onto our childlike wonder. 

Tia was born and raised in Oakland, CA where her love for theatre began! Her first show was in preschool were she was a penguin in Mary Poppins. She is now attending Roosevelt University's Chicago College for Performing Arts for a BFA in Musical Theatre: Dance Concentration.

Tia spent two semesters at The Eugene O'Neill Theatre Center completing the National Musical Theatre Institute and National Theatre Institute programs. Here she had the opportunity to work on her acting, singing, and dancing skills as well as choreographing, playwriting, designing, and directing. During her second semester she became a Miranda Family Fellow.

When not performing she enjoys cooking, baking, going for walks, enjoying the lake, and being with her family dog, Copper.
